The tour begins with the panorama of Jerusalem from the top of mt olives allowing the visiters to see laid out before you the wonderful monuments of ancient jerusalem and the vibrant bustle of the modern city....then we will drive to the mt zion for a walking tour of the old city including of course the mt zion monumentsthe last supper room,king david tomb and the church of the dormition....
then we will entering the old city walls through zion gate and walk through the armenian quater to the jewish quater to begin with the cardo which is theremnantof the main toroughfare of roman jerusalem part of it is today a currently folkloric shopping center.
continuing all along david street we will join the moristan christian quater and arrive to the holy sepulchre the ancient and labyrinthine complex church built overthe presumed tomb of jesus shared jealously between monks of the various catholic and orthodox streams of the christian faith.
from the church backwards to the via dolorosa the path of the cross last walk of jesus with the cross on his back from the condamnation pretorium to the cruxifiction site on the golghota inside the holy sepulchre....this path includs 14 stations of the cross.
then fron the colorful arab suk walk along the streets to join the western wall"the kotel"the last remnant of the second jewish temple regarded as the holliest prayer site in the jewish faith.
after an oriental lunch pause falafel or shwarma food...
in the afternoon we will visit yad vashem the official state of israel shoah memorial and museum a must emotional but ultimately enlightening journey through the nazi genocide of the jews of europe.
